Inspections
Quality Control (QC) Inspections
Identifying potential risks during the construction phase provides you with the opportunity to take appropriate action and executing a more successful project. With our extensive knowledge in the design, fabrication, and installation process of building envelope systems we can assist you in every step of conducting quality control field and shop inspections, including field testing. As Certified Third-Party Inspectors for Carlisle CCW and FBC/Laurenco Waterproofing, we can also assist you with the quality control field inspections of these waterproofing systems.
Progress Inspections
Building codes require that inspections be conducted during the progress of the work to verify substantial compliance with the code and with approved construction documents. As licensed and Registered Architects we assist you in complying with your progress inspection requirements, including NYC Energy Code progress inspections.
Special Inspections
Building codes require that inspections of the installation and fabrication of selected components be conducted by an approved agency to ensure compliance with approved construction documents and referenced standards. As an accredited Special Inspections Agency (SIA) registered with the NYC DOB as a Class 1 Special Inspections Agency we assist you in complying with your special inspections requirements in the field and the shop.
Façade Inspections
Many cities require that building owners maintain their building’s façade in a safe condition. Building codes in these cities have established requirements for conducting periodic façade inspections and reporting, which are to be conducted by qualified professionals. In New York City (NYC), the Façade Inspection & Safety Program (FISP), formally known as Local Law 11 (LL11), require façade inspections to be conducted by a NYC DOB Qualified Exterior Wall Inspector (QEWI). As a QEWI and a licensed and Registered Architect, we assist you in meeting the required façade inspections in New York City (NYC), as well as, Jersey City, NJ and Philadelphia, PA.
Parapet Inspections
Starting on January 1, 2024, NYC building owner’s must have an annual observation of the building’s parapets be performed. This applies to all buildings with parapets fronting the public right-of-way, regardless of height, except for detached 1 or 2 family homes with a fence or other barrier preventing access to the exterior wall. As experienced Building Envelope Consultants, we assist you in meeting your parapet inspection requirements.
Residential Building Inspections
When investing in real estate property you want to make sure you are making a good investment and are not surprised by unforeseen repair costs. As licensed and Registered Architects with extensive experience with residential buildings, we assist you with conducting your home inspection. It is important to understand the difference between Registered Architects and licensed Home Inspectors, as in most States, only Registered Architects and Professional Engineers can evaluate and advise as to the adequacy of the structural and mechanical systems of an existing residential building.

Water Leakage Evaluations
As experienced Building Envelope Consultants, we assist you in evaluating the potential causes of water leakage of the building envelope and with recommending an appropriate remediation plan.
Failure Investigations
As experienced Building Envelope Consultants, we assist you in investigating and identifying the cause of failure to facilitate the design of proper repairs, or to improve the performance and/or lifespan of your building’s envelope. We also provide forensic investigation and litigation support services consisting of; investigation planning and coordination; data collection; development of testing protocol; data analysis and interpretation; and presentation of opinions and conclusions, to better prepare you and your team for your case.
Exterior Restorations
As licensed and Registered Architects, we assist you in assessing and investigating the existing condition of all components of your building’s envelope, and in developing restoration documents for bidding, permit filing, and construction. Our experience includes the remediation, renovation, and restoration, of many building envelope systems including, masonry, metal claddings, curtain walls, storefronts, EIFS, stucco, roof replacement, waterproofing, window replacement, etc.
Historic Preservation
As licensed and Registered Architects, we assist you in assessing and investigating the existing condition of all components of your building’s envelope, and in developing historic preservation and restoration documents for bidding, permit filing, including NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) filing, and construction. Our experience includes the historic preservation and restoration of many building envelope systems including, brick, stone, terra cotta, window replacement, etc.
Project Management
As experienced Project Managers, we assist you with providing construction management services as an Adviser to the Owner, for your building envelope restoration project, during the pre-construction and construction phases, including Bidding Assistance.
